Dates are available for TWO classes of 3 days each. The second classe is designed to build upon the first, but you may attend just one. AUGUST 8, 9, 10 - 2011 AUGUST 11, 12, 13 - 2011 CLASSES TO BE HELD IN THE NORTHEAST, IN THE HISTORIC MARITIME TOWN OF ANNAPOLIS ROYAL, NOVA SCOTIA CANADA Michel Nadaï was born in Albi, France in 1956. His interest in decorative painting began in Paris, at the Châtelet Theater, where he worked for a number of years; it was here that he created his first painted scenes. During 1986 he studied decorative painting, and in 1989 he opened his own studio in the Southwest of France. Since 1991 he has taught the trade to an international set of students, while continuing to work on commissioned projects. His work has been presented in a number of exhibitions in Europe, Japan, and the United States. He is a member of the International Salon of Decorative Painters, a Master Artisan, and in 1994 earned the title of ‘Best Craftsman of France’. His new book Art & Techniques: Decorative Painting was published by Editions Vial and released in May 2008. It was awarded the Grand Prix du Livre in France in 2010. From March 2010 to September 2010, Michel Nadaï has been working in the Stirling Castle Palace Project (click to see video), designing and painting decorations in the spirit of the period.
